In today's QOTD i saw a nomination for two tone paints. I was trying to think of something sold today with a two-tone (or three) paint job. These are two I could come up with quickly off the top of my head. Even still they are not on the same level as the paint job above. The Ram is almost like colored cladding, and the smart is closer to a strip or an accent than two-tone along the lines of an R-8's side blades. Is there anything out there that is more than just a colored roof or big stripes?

Audi R8, the "blade" changes color depending on the body color, I'd count it as 2 tone.

Also almost all F150's can be 2 tone as well.

The soon-to-be replaced current F-150 XLT can be had with the same sort of two-tone lower cladding as the Ram, and as far as I know, all of the King Ranch-trimmed trucks are two-tone.

It's easier to find two-tones in exotics like this Jalopnik edition Bentley Mulsanne:

Most Minis seem to have "just a colored roof or big stripes". Range Rover Evoque can also have a coloured roof. Since the pillars are always black, a black roof makes quite a difference.

I guess the F-150 counts but the R8 is an accent piece, not two tone.

I have a hard time classifying a colored roof as two tone. I guess it is but its pretty weak. You could almost call that triple toned with the black cladding, altho i think its just black plastic.

i agree, smart car is more accent piece than two tone. Maybe there needs to be some sort of dividing line like it must be more than 25% of the car to be considered two tone and everything under that is accent coloring.

oh also, does Jeep Wrangler count? I know it's just "black plastic" but it really, really changes the look as to whether you get the body matched paint vs black roof/fenders:

As far as I know. That was a 2013 XJS reveal at a dealer. I would call the Lamborghini's two-tone because it has the black accents all over it. It's carbon fiber, so it's not paint, but it's still two tones, I guess.

I'd say no because it isn't paint and its more of an accent piece. Its two colors but not two tone paint job such as the Veyron.
